Oxted Men’s 2s have enjoyed an outstanding season, culminating in winning the South East Premier Division and securing promotion to National League hockey for the first time. It marks a significant achievement for a young, ambitious squad that continues to play a vital role in the club’s player pathway.

Many within the group regularly train with the first team, and that exposure to national league standards has accelerated their development. The result has been a side with excellent technical quality, physical sharpness and the confidence to compete consistently at the top end of the division.

Finishing as champions of a league just one step below the national structure is a testament to the squad’s growth, maturity and consistency throughout the season. The team is strengthened by players pushing for first team selection, creating healthy competition and depth across the club.

Under the guidance of former first team player Josh Birtles, the side has developed a disciplined and confident style of play. His experience and tactical insight have helped the team control games, perform under pressure and maintain momentum across the campaign.
